Outfitting
Outfitting your touring kayak is an important consideration. In addition to a boat, paddle, and a PFD, you'll need a good spray skirt to keep the water out of your cockpit. A bilge pump is another important item, along with Bungee cords for strapping items to the deck, a spare paddle, navigation charts, VHF radio, compass, camping supplies, and a host of other items.
